11.08.2015 // The Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak discussed issues of bilateral cooperation with the Greek Minister of Energy Panos Skourletis

The whole range of issues of bilateral energy cooperation was discussed during a telephone conversation between the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak and the Greek Productive Reconstruction, Environment and Energy Minister Panos Skourletis.


The parties have confirmed the feasibility of creating a new gas transport infrastructure in Greece, designed to transport Russian gas to European consumers.


During a telephone conversation, implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation for construction and operation of the pipeline on the territory of the Hellenic Republic and the Schedule of building the gas pipeline on the territory of the Hellenic Republic from the territory of Republic of Turkey to the border with the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (18-19 June 2015) was considered.


The ministers agreed to continue intensive dialogue, including activity in terms of a specially created Russian-Greek Working Group on Energy.
