The risks and prospects of the global energy balance transformation for oil and gas companies, impact of regulatory restrictions (trade wars and economic sanctions) on developing oil and gas markets, criteria for assessing the economic efficiency of risk management systems, role of insurance as an integral part of the general process of managing technological and cyber risks and other topical issues were comprehensively discussed at the Conference.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nigeria to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus H.E. Steve Davies Ugbah addressed to the guests and participants of the Conference with a welcoming speech.

In his speech, the Nigerian Ambassador highlighted a contribution of Nigeria as a member of OPEC to stabilizing world oil prices and noted that Nigeria is very interested in expanding Russian companies participation in implementation of joint energy projects in Nigeria.

The plenary session, moderated by Dr. Alexey Gromov, Principal Director for Energy Studies of the Institute for Energy and Finance, was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iraq to the Russian Federation H.E. Abdulrahman Hamid Mohammed Al-Hussaini, Vice President of the Saint-Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange Mr. Dmitry Chekalkin, General Director of Marsh Insurance Broker, Russia and CIS Mr. Andrey Denisov and Vice-President of KERUI GROUP Mr. Li Jinxu.
