03.25.2020 // Dr. Leena Srivastava, Deputy Director General for Science of the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) will make a presentation within the III International Conference “Risk Management in Energy – 2020”

Dr. Leena Srivastava,IIASA Deputy Director General for Science will make a presentation “Dynamic Demand Management: Opportunities and risks for smart grids” within the Plenary session “Corporate strategies for risk management in transforming energy” on May 29.

Dr. Srivastava has over three decades of research experience in the areas of energy, environment and climate change policies at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), including nearly nine years as its Executive Director. 

She is a member of various committees and boards both at the international and national levels. She served as the Co-Chair of the Science Advisory Group for the UNSG’s Global Climate Action Summit and is, currently, a Co-Chair on the Science Advisory Committee of Future Earth as well as a Member of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) President’s Advisory Group on Climate and Sustainable Development, among others.

In 2008, the Prime Minister of the French Republic awarded Dr Srivastava with the Knight of the Order of Academic Palms (Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Palmes Académiques). She also received a Certificate of Recognition from the Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh, and the Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) for her contribution to the work of the IPCC. She was also invited to be a Richard von Weizsacker Fellow of the Robert Bosch Stiftung in 2012/13.
